A start-up winery big on quality wines, family heritage and community pride, located in Sea Cliff, New York, was in need of a brand to tell their story. Interwoven Creative partnered with LABL for complete brand development from naming, strategy, identity creation, website design to the packaging of Vinizzo’s first bottled production.
Vin + Izzo =  A family of winemakers

From a long line of winemakers, vintner Michael Izzo grew up with wine in his blood. Thanks to his father and grandfather, homemade wine was a fixture at the Izzo family dinner table. Although winemaking initially started as a hobby for Michael, it quickly grew into a full-blown obsession. He became fascinated with all aspects of the process, from sourcing and fermenting to aging and finishing.

Hence, Vinizzo. In 2013, Michael and his wife, Kristie Loscalzo, founded the winery and tasting room in their beloved town of Sea Cliff, New York. Since opening its doors, Vinizzo has been known for its warm-hearted approach, commitment to community and great-tasting wines.
The Mark
Italians often use the barred z in hand writing so this little notch is a nod to the Izzo Italian roots. Timeless. Sleek. Established.
The Bottle Design
The wine bottles are a celebration of Sea Cliff with a modern execution. Special tribute to the community is paid by the circular “bottled in Sea Cliff” emblem. The color palette of black and white with touches of silver and gold elevates the packaging, while keeping the focus on what’s most important – the wine. We opted to utilize the same bottle shape for both red and white wines to keep with the idea of dark and light in opposition. A silver embossed logo on beautiful felt paper in black and white double front labels distinguishes this wine brand from the next.
Website
Vinizzo.com showcases the family’s Italian and American heritage while depicting the process and familial ties to winemaking.
